Overview
A shared turn-management app for board game sessions. It keeps turn flow visible to everyone and reduces downtime with simple, high-clarity controls.
Problem
Table groups often lose pace when turn ownership and timing are ambiguous. Manual tracking leads to disputes and uneven play time between participants.
Solution
Provide player setup, active-turn countdown, clear current-player highlighting, and cumulative per-player totals. Hosts can pause/resume and advance turns without breaking session flow.
Architecture
The app uses deterministic player-state transitions and timer logic to prevent ambiguous turn state. Local persistence stores presets and last-used configurations, while PWA support keeps it usable in low-connectivity environments.
Key decisions
Designed for distance readability and low-error interactions under live gameplay pressure. Kept setup simple and deferred tournament-level complexity.
Challenges
Balancing flexibility (player counts, modes) with speed of setup, and ensuring stable long-session timing over 30 to 180+ minute games.
Outcome
A practical table companion that demonstrates real-time UI clarity, fair-state modeling, and product decisions tuned for group usage.
